Shut-off valve - a manual shut-off valve for a vacuum line is designed to block the suction pipeline of a vacuum pump.
Switches manually. The crane has one input and two outputs, that is, it can serve as a tee for a vacuum line.
The shut-off valve eliminates the need to keep the vacuum pump constantly on to maintain the vacuum: it is enough to vacuum up any closed container and close the tap.

If the faucet is not installed, then after the pump is turned off, the air from the atmosphere will go back through the pump, squeezing oil or water out of it (in the case of a slide or water-ring vacuum pump, respectively).
